The Creative Spirit Behind Objects of Adornment

The Art of Adorning

My love for adornment began long before Objects of Adornment became a brand. For over a decade, I've been creating jewelry as a personal hobby, designing pieces that reflect my individuality, connection to nature, and appreciation for the beauty found in the world around me.

My creative background began in the beauty and fashion industries, where I worked as a hair and makeup artist (HMUA) and wardrobe stylist. During this time, I often found myself creating custom jewelry, accessories, and clothing for photo shoots, bringing together different textures, materials, and artistic elements to complete a vision. What began as a creative extension of my styling work gradually evolved into a deeper appreciation for the art of adornment itself.

I've always felt a strong connection to nature and the elements of the earth. From gemstones and natural textures to celestial symbols and organic forms, I find inspiration in the materials, patterns, and stories that surround us. I love the idea that something as simple as a stone, shell, or piece of metal can be transformed into an object of personal expression.

I believe our physical bodies are temples, deserving of care, appreciation, and intentional adornment.

To me, jewelry is more than decoration. It is an extension of who we are, how we feel, and what we choose to carry with us. Throughout history, people have adorned their bodies with objects that symbolize beauty, identity, spirituality, connection, and personal meaning. I find something beautiful in continuing that tradition in our own individual ways.

Objects of Adornment grew from this philosophy: that adorning ourselves can be a creative and intentional ritual, a way of honoring our bodies while expressing the many layers of ourselves.

Each piece I create is influenced by my love of nature, artistic experimentation, and the freedom of self-expression. I enjoy combining unexpected materials, reimagining found elements, and allowing each design to develop its own character. Rather than following trends, I'm drawn to creating jewelry that feels personal, distinctive, and meaningful to the person who wears it.

My hope is that these creations inspire you to approach adornment as something uniquely your own. Whether a piece reminds you of the earth, connects you to a memory, reflects your spiritual beliefs, or simply makes you feel beautiful, its meaning belongs to you.

Adorn yourself with what speaks to you. Honor the body you inhabit. And embrace the art of adorning.
